Documents Required for Voter Registration in Rajasthan


Your age should be 18 years or more on 1st day of January of the year with reference to which the electoral roll is being revised. If your age is between 18 and 21 years, a documentary proof of Date of Birth should be attached

?Documents can be attached as a proof of Date of Birth:
  • Birth certificate issued by a Municipal Authorities or district office of the Registrar of Births & Deaths or Baptism certificate ; or
  • Birth certificate from the school (Govt. / Recognized) last attended by you or any other recognized educational institution ; or
  • If you are in class 10 or more pass, you should give a copy of the marksheet of class 10, if it contains date of birth as a proof of date of birth or
  • Marksheet of class 8 if it contains date of birth ; or
  • Marksheet of class 5 if it contains date of birth ; or
  • Indian Passport ; or
  • PAN card ; or
  • Driving License ; or
  • Aadhar letter issued by UIDAI
?In case none of the above mentioned documents are available, a declaration in prescribed format given in Annexure – I (enclosed with Form 6) made by either of your parents can be given. You will have to be present yourself for verification before Booth Level Officer /Assistant Electoral Registration Officer / Electoral Registration Officer.

    ?If none of the mentioned documents are available and neither of your parents is alive, then 
    you can attach a certificate of your age given by a Sarpanch of the concerned Gram Panchayat or by a member of the concerned Municipal Corporation / Municipal Committee.

    ?If you are more than 21 years and physically appear to be so to Booth Level Officer /Assistant Electoral Registration Officer / Electoral Registration Officer, declaration of age by him / her will be taken as proof of age and no documentary proof will be insisted upon.
    ?Documents required as ‘proof of residence’ ?
    • Bank / Kisan / Post Office current Pass Book ; or
    • Ration Card ; or
    • Passport ; or
    • Driving License ; or
    • Income Tax Assessment Order ; or
    • Latest rent agreement ; or
    • Latest Water / Telephone / Electricity / Gas Connection Bill for that address, either in your name or that of your immediate relation like parents etc. ; or
    • Any post / letter / mail delivered through Indian Postal Department in your name at the address of ordinary residence.
    ?In case you are student residing at the place of study, in hostel or mess managed by the educational institutions or elsewhere, you will have the option to get yourself registered as elector at your native place with your  parents or at the address of hostel/mess where you reside.
    • The course pursued by you should be recognized by Central / State Governments / Boards / Universities / Deemed Universities.
    • The course should be of not less than 1 year’s duration.
    • If you wish to enrol yourself at the hostel/mess, you will have to attach a bonafide certificate (as per the specimen at Annexure II enclosed with Form 6) from the Headmaster / Principal / Director / Registrar / Dean of the educational institution with Form 6.

    "If someone else has cast a bogus vote in your name, immediately bring it to the notice of the Polling Officer. The Polling Officer will further inform concerned authorities, like the ECI. He would also issue you a tender ballot paper on which you can cast your anonymous vote."
